GCHEX Am CH Parador Talisman RN CGN “Talis”

The past month was filled with disbelief and sadness. The diagnosis of hemangiosarcoma was unexpected . Only a few days earlier he had been running on the property and enjoying himself the way only a GSP does. Up until this diagnosis he was the picture of health. The tumor was very aggressive and his energy decreased steadily over 2 weeks. He continued to look forward to and wanted to go on his daily walk down to the river. Setting the pace he sniffed around, pointed and flushed along the way always happy upon his return home and with more energy than when he started. Then he would rest and sleep. The house certainly isn’t the same without his magnificent presence.

April 6. was a beautiful day with the sun shining, the birds singing and no wind blowing. We were very appreciative of Dr. Liz of Sunset Veterinary Care who came out to our home to assist Talis pass over. Her caring and compassion helped make this difficult experience easier. The time wasn’t right for us but it was the right time for Talis.
