Niko
April 9, 2008 - April 16, 2021
To our furry family member Niko. We could not have asked for a better companion to our family. I will miss looking in the rear view mirror of the truck, seeing you smile from ear to ear as we went on an adventure. You knew when mom was sad, and you would rest your head on her leg.
When Sammy and Mateo were born, you welcomed them into your pack. You let them climb all over you, pull your ears and kiss your face as they grew older with you. Always waiting at the window for us to come home, you would jump up in excitement and bark because we were finally here. A snort and a smile for dad, or greeting mom at the door with a tail whip and a kiss. The things we loved and will surely miss.
When you would go with the boys for a sleepover, you could always count on Nana to make a comfy bed for you on the couch. Long walks with Papa, spooking up anything you could in the bush. Always waiting for that reward from his hand.
Every person you met, you would smile so big. Your nose would scrunch and you would snort like a pig. To our gentle giant Niko, a cuddle and a kiss, you will leave a void in our hearts that everyone will miss. Get ready for all the docks, for you to jump off into the lakes in puppy heaven. All the watermelon and vanilla ice cream you can eat. Enjoy those long walks, and chasing those rabbits.
We love you buddy.
