Skeeder
Aug 2004 - 30 Aug 2022
Missing you every day - in various ways Skeeder!
Skeeder was a people kitty - her people that is! She had separation anxiety at times (just ask any sitter when we vacationed)!
She would always say goodbye at the door whenever one of us would go out or great us at the door when we returned - especially when we had gone out together. This morning was the first time being out and today there was no Skeeder to greet us. Yesterday there was no kitty begging for me to share some of my supper. At night (until the past few months) she would always wait for us both to go to bed, and then she would come and lay in between us purring and getting scratches from us both. Then she would fall asleep there together with us until she knew we were resting. When she was younger, she would climb up on me and purr in my ear and knead - this is how she got her name Skeeder (a form of mosquito buzzing around)! She was a definite welcome and comforting buzz!
We do miss her so much - she was a part of our family since September of 2004, 18 years … most of our married life! She was our first “child” together … and while I know she wasn’t a human child - she was the closest thing for us!
