Maddie.
For nearly 16 years you brought so much love and joy to my life and so many others. Home doesn’t feel like home without you now my sweet girl. Ice cream, cheese, bacon, salmon, sweet potato and weirdly brussels sprouts were some of your faves, and nothing made me laugh more at watching how fast you tried to devour it all. Dog toys were lame, the only fun things were tennis balls, dryer balls and bones. And you had not a single care in the world about another dog or cat, cause you were just so content in your own world. Walks down the Harte Trail, the dog park, nights at Grandmas, sun tanning in the back yard, and all the smells of animals at the lake were how you loved to spend your days. Hearing you bark was a rare event cause you were such a good girl but it was so cute when you did. You would always be right by me when I was sad, cause you knew - and man I wish it was you here making me feel better right now. You were the best gift of all and you knew it, that’s why one of your favourite spots was sleeping under the Christmas tree.
You brought smiles to everyone Maddie, you were so loving. Having you go hurts my heart. 16 years was not enough time.
Rest easy my little chicken nugget ❤️enjoy rubbing against and chasing all those balls.
