Lola

Lola was one in a billion. She lived 13 years giving everything she had to her people and her absence has left a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew her. Lola loved people and couldn’t strut past anyone without getting smiles and laughs and pets. I think she especially loved living in Portland, OR where dogs were treated as well (and sometimes better) as humans. She had a few local patios where everyone knew her name. While living there, she lost her eye due to glaucoma, and never skipped a beat. She retired herself from always playing with the biggest dog at the dog park. She has been on planes, trains, ferries, and many many other boats. Lola loved the lake and the beach and steak and us. She was so gentle when a baby human came into our lives, but started showing the effects or osteoarthritis and dementia. I knew we had to say farewell to her body when I didn’t see the sparkle in her eye anymore. It was perfect timing and the perfect person in Dr Rita. Lola left her sore little body surrounded by family and looking at the river. She was my soul mate and nothing will ever be the same.

Love you Lola Kabola.
