Kallista
2010-2022
We named Kallista after a beautiful little town near the Australian home where we lived for one year.
She was a poodle who was proud to "guard"/patrol the perimeter (our yard), hated the haltie we had to use because she pulled so damn hard when we walked, and loved running wildly in dog parks and on beaches. Couldn't resist the sound of a chip bag being opened, no matter how quietly. Loved carrots, apples, red peppers, peanut butter, chicken much much more than her "boring"/basic dog food. And I always made sure to make a small pancake for her as she would stare at her dish until something appeared in it. She was a "serious" dog and learned how to tolerate our cat when she arrived 4 years ago. She wouldn't pose for a picture regardless of how I begged. Barked hysterically if she heard the word "hi", or "hello", regardless of the context!
We certainly are feeling her absence.
