Jackson
July 26, 2021.
Today we had to say goodbye to our much loved companion and family member of 14 years. Anyone who has had a dog knows what this day is like. He was a rescue and was frozen as a puppy so all his feet were deformed and he was missing most of his tail, but he was the happiest most active pup. He grew to be over 100 lbs - so he ruled the roost! We have had 2 dogs all 27 yrs my husband and I have been together but the last few years it was just Jackson with us. He never ran away, just open the door, he’d run out do his thing then come right back in. He loved his treats and I think he loved us! Last couple years his hip dysplasia worsened and mobility was becoming very difficult for him. He was tired and we knew it was time. We will miss him terribly but we know he is now running in the grass and playing with his old buddies… we love and miss you Jackson…. Want to add a huge thank you to Sunset Veterinary Care. Dr Rita came to the house and we were able to let Jackson go in the backyard on the patio he loved to lay on with us! So caring and so peaceful.
