Sacha
January 01 2006 - May 31 2021
Sacha came to live with me in 2007 when I was looking for a companion for my husky Rico. He had been a stray who was fostered by Brent Thomas of Telaka Kennels. They dogs were an even match and would hip check each other into the fence or drag each other down to the ground by the neck. They escaped the yard over and over.
A pesky younger brother ( Remy) followed and Sacha became the quiet middle brother of the pack. They all shared a love of snow, long walks, and soft beds.
Sacha was also a dutiful canine blood donor (universal donor!). He donated 35 times until his retirement. We said goodbye to Rico in 2017 and then Sacha was diagnosed with cancer. He underwent surgeries and treatments without complaint. I am grateful to Dr. Worb for a lifetime of care and to physiotherapist Silvia Lavallee for his rehab.
As his body began to fail him, so too did his mind. It was time. I am grateful to Dr. Andree for granting Sacha his eternal rest at home.
Goodbye my sweet Sacha. Thank you for loving me. You were a very, very, good boy. You can run free with Rico now. Remy misses you.
