Katie

The End of an Era

CKH CH. Kinring’s Undeniable lovingly known as “Miss Katie” out of CH Harmony Hill’s Notorious (Rileigh) and CH Kinring’s All That N More (Zoe), we are sad to say that with heavy hearts and much soul searching has crossed over to the “Rainbow Bridge”.

As it turns out Katie was a Robbie Burns baby born (for those of you with Scottish descent) on January 25th, 2008 until May 23rd, 2023 (4 months after her 15th birthday this year)… she now joins her original pack members of Connor, Skye, Dot and. Aimee whom she has lived with all of her life.

Katie became a Canadian Kennel Club Show Champion at 13 months and from there she tried her hand in the Herding Venue, but alas, we found out quite quickly this was not her cup of tea (as much like a cat, she didn’t like to get her feet wet)…she did manage to pass her Herding Instinct Test, but no further !!

Katie was a sweet, loving and happy girl right to the end, mind you she would leave the room when or if voices were raised and mostly recently (over the past 14 months) she had become “Momma’s girl'“ especially after her diagnosis of LarPar and he breathing became more and more difficult and as time passed her ability to eat and drink became more troublesome. Some of her human friends have also described her as “Beautiful, Caring and Intelligent” not necessarily in that order…

Our family wish to acknowledge our awesome breeder and friend Shawna Wiebe for giving us the chance to have this amazing girl in our lives and sharing our home for all these past 15 years & 4 months.

Also we would like to acknowledge our friend and Vet Dr. Rita McKay of Sunset Veterinary Care who came to our home to assist Katie over the Bridge, and to our friend and Vet Dr. Ron Worb of Anderson Animal Hospital who has looked after Katie for most of her lifetime.

Katie will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered “Always”
