Georgia
Miss Georgia
On the morning of Wednesday, September 29th, 2021, we said goodbye to a piece of our hearts, our sweet little weenie long dog, our precious furbaby, whom we are eternally grateful to have shared life with. Georgia was adopted from the Winnipeg Humane Society in June 2008 when she was around the age of 2-3 years old. It was truly love at first sight.
Over the next 13 and a half years, she taught us the meaning of unconditional love. She was a small dog with a big personality and was commonly referred to as "the fun police" (as she would break out barking whenever we burst into laughter). She was a good girl, always so patient with her "siblings", Logan and Taylor, as they learned what "gentle" meant and could often be found sunning with Bobo or her baby squirrel toys in one of her many beds, nests or her own special doggy couch that overlooked the front yard (and had a great view of her "friends" - the bunnies, squirrels and neighborhood cats!).
After going through a gradual fur coat change of black & tan to black & grey, Georgia took her final breath peacefully, in her favorite place - the arms of her "Mommy". We know that we’ll see Georgia again, but until that time, have many cherished memories to warm our hearts and souls. Georgia, my baby, my heart, my pup - we love you and we miss you so much.
If you'd like to honour Georgia's life, please consider donating to the Winnipeg Humane Society through our annual Paws in Motion walk in June.
